Join the country's LARGEST department of transportation as they discuss their Instructional Design process.

The Texas Department of Transportation will be showcasing its Instructional System Design process for all to see.  The country’s largest department of transportation spends over $8M a year training employees using a mix of ILT during more than 4,000 training sessions – all from a catalog of 347 courses that have been designed and developed in-house.  Come see how a government organization is using the ADDIE model in a real way and come see how our award-winning Instructor Development Program is transforming stand-and-deliver trainers into Instructional System Designers.

Your speaker will be Barbara Raines-Evard, MEd. Barbara has accumulated 40 years of diverse experience in the training and instructional design field. She shares this knowledge as a Master Instructor and Program Administrator for the Instructor Development Program at Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and an online adjunct instructor for the University of Phoenix. Barbara designed and taught Train-the-Trainer classes for Raytheon, Texas Instruments, Scirex Clinical Research Company, and the Blood Center of Central Texas. In addition, she also designed teacher certification classes for Bachelor and Masters’ programs for Letourneau and Texas A & M Universities. Barbara’s newest adventure is graphic design. Her first project was designing digital badges for the certified instructors and game boards for the instructional design classes at TxDOT.
